Aplauso is set in an old mansion, located between the bohemian Santa Teresa neighbourhood and Lapa with its party atmosphere . It offers air-conditioned dormitories with shared bathrooms.
Guests can enjoy a daily breakfast with breads and cakes. Rio Aplauso Hostel also offers a barbecue facility, coffee machine and microwave for communal use. The living area features cable TV and free Wi-Fi.
The Hostel is situated one block from the famous Rua Riachuelo which is the main street with samba bars and plenty of restaurants. The front desk can provide tourist information when requested.
From Hostel Rio Aplauso it is only a 10 minutes´ walk to Cinelândia Subway which enables guests to easily visit Ipanema and Copacabana Beaches. Santos Dumond Airport is 3 km away and an airport shuttle is available in high season.
